SHOWER STORY® Trade Program & Wholesale Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between SHOWER STORY Pty Ltd (“SHOWER STORY”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) and any approved wholesale account holder (“the Stockist”, “you”, or “your”).
By submitting a Wholesale Application and/or placing a wholesale order with SHOWER STORY, you are deemed to have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.
1. Introduction
1.1 The SHOWER STORY Trade Program is designed to provide approved stockists, boutiques, spas, and hospitality partners with access to wholesale pricing, ordering, and promotional support.
1.2 These Terms apply to all wholesale account holders in the Trade Program.
1.3 For clarity, the term “Trade Program” refers to SHOWER STORY’s curated partner-facing offering, while “Wholesale Account” refers to the underlying legal account and obligations that govern supply.
2. Account Approval
2.1 All applicants must complete the Wholesale Application Form on the SHOWER STORY website (www.showerstory.com.au). Required information includes business/trading name, ABN, address, email contact, and a current website and/or social media account.
2.2 SHOWER STORY reserves the right to request additional information, including but not limited to product mix, store profile, and brand positioning, in order to assess suitability.
2.3 Approval is granted at SHOWER STORY’s sole discretion. Considerations include proximity to existing or prospective stockists, the alignment of your store with SHOWER STORY’s brand values, and the quality of your retail or online presence.
2.4 Retailers without an active website may not be approved.
2.5 Upon approval, you will be notified by email and your account will be activated for wholesale access.
3. Minimum Order Value and Order Limits
3.1 All wholesale orders must meet a Minimum Order Value (MOV) of AUD $500.
3.2 The Trade Portal is intended for small to medium wholesale orders. A limit of 60 sets per SKU per order applies.
3.3 Stockists seeking to place bulk or palletised orders, or quantities beyond the Trade Portal limits, must contact accounts@showerstory.com to discuss stock allocation, lead times, and freight arrangements.
3.4 Orders falling below the required MOV will not have wholesale pricing applied.
3.5 SHOWER STORY reserves the right to close inactive accounts. An account is considered inactive if no wholesale order is placed within three consecutive calendar months.
4. Recommended Resale Price (RRP)
4.1 Stockists are encouraged to retail SHOWER STORY products within fifteen percent (15%) of SHOWER STORY’s official retail prices as published on www.showerstory.com.au.
4.2 This pricing guideline is intended to maintain brand equity and market stability.
4.3 SHOWER STORY may withhold supply if, in its sole discretion, it determines that a stockist is engaging in “loss-leader” selling, defined as resale below SHOWER STORY’s cost.
5. Ordering Process
5.1 Once approved, stockists must create a customer account via the SHOWER STORY website’s Accounts page. SHOWER STORY will then assign Wholesale status to the account.
5.2 The approved stockist may log in to the Wholesale Portal to access the quick order form.
5.3 Products may be added to the cart and purchased through the checkout system. Wholesale pricing will be automatically applied once all conditions (including MOV and SKU limits) are satisfied.
5.4 All confirmed orders will appear under Past Orders in the account dashboard. Commercial invoices are available for download at any time.
6. Terms of Payment
6.1 Payment in full is required at the time of order unless alternative arrangements are expressly agreed in writing by SHOWER STORY.
6.2 Accepted payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other providers listed on the SHOWER STORY website.
6.3 Orders will not be processed or dispatched until payment has been received in full.
7. Postage and Handling
7.1 A flat postage and handling fee of AUD 19.99 applies to all wholesale orders unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7.2 Orders are generally dispatched within one (1) business day of order confirmation, subject to stock availability.
7.3 Tracking information will be provided via the order status page and by email.
7.4 Delivery times vary by location and may be extended during peak retail seasons or in the event of external disruptions (e.g. extreme weather). Current updates are available on the Shipping Policy page of the SHOWER STORY website.
8. Sales Agreement and Promotional Standards
8.1 Stockists agree to uphold SHOWER STORY’s brand standards when promoting and selling products.
8.2 Brick-and-Mortar Stores may run sale campaigns at their discretion, provided no campaign exceeds a continuous period of two (2) weeks.
8.3 Online Stores may only run publicly advertised sale campaigns during the following seasonal periods:
- Mother’s Day
- End of Financial Year (EOFY)
- Black Friday / Cyber Monday
- Boxing Day
Each period must not exceed two (2) weeks.
8.4 Email Marketing: Stockists may run sale campaigns using coupon codes distributed via email provided that such codes are not publicly advertised on social media or through brand representatives.
9. Product Media Assets
9.1 SHOWER STORY may provide high-resolution product images on request for approved stockist use. These remain the exclusive property of SHOWER STORY.
9.2 Images from SHOWER STORY’s website may be used freely for online retail listings.
9.3 All Instagram or social media posts featuring SHOWER STORY products must tag @helloshowerstory. Persistent failure to do so may result in suspension of the wholesale account.
9.4 Images sourced from SHOWER STORY’s social platforms must include correct creator tags (e.g. brand representatives) and customer permissions where applicable.
9.5 Stockists are encouraged to produce original imagery. SHOWER STORY may feature such images on its own channels, with credit, at its discretion.
10. Returns and Refunds
10.1 SHOWER STORY does not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for change of mind.
10.2 If products are faulty, defective, or not true to design, stockists must notify SHOWER STORY within thirty (30) days of order confirmation by emailing accounts@showerstory.com with order number, photographic evidence, and details of the defect.
10.3 Upon approval, a refund or store credit will be issued for the defective goods.
10.4 Returns of opened or unsealed products are not accepted under any circumstances due to hygiene and public health regulations.
11. Coupon Codes
11.1 SHOWER STORY may issue product credit coupons from time to time, valid for six (6) months from the date of issue.
11.2 Coupon codes issued to retail customers cannot be used on wholesale orders and vice versa.
11.3 SHOWER STORY reserves the right to cancel any order where coupon misuse or unethical conduct is identified.
12. Misconduct
12.1 SHOWER STORY reserves the right to suspend or cancel a wholesale account where the stockist engages in misleading, deceptive, or unethical practices.
12.2 Wholesale accounts are granted only for the specific outlet(s) listed on the approved application. Stockists wishing to sell via additional outlets under the same business name must obtain SHOWER STORY’s prior written consent.
12.3 Selling from unapproved outlets may result in immediate suspension or termination of the wholesale account.
13. Product Safety
13.1 Stockists must comply with all relevant Australian regulations, including Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) guidelines, and must not make unapproved therapeutic claims about SHOWER STORY products.
13.2 All safety and usage information provided with product packaging must be passed on to customers at the point of sale.
13.3 SHOWER STORY accepts no liability for consequences arising from misuse of products or non-compliance with safety guidelines.
14. Cancellation of Wholesale Accounts
14.1 SHOWER STORY reserves the right to cancel a wholesale account in circumstances including, but not limited to:
- Introduction of conflicting or inappropriate product lines;
- Material changes in brand profile;
- Relocation or proximity to existing stockists;
- Change from physical retail to online-only without notice;
- Failure to place a wholesale order within three (3) months.
14.2 Cancellation will result in removal from SHOWER STORY’s official Stockist List.
14.3 Reinstatement of a cancelled account requires a fresh application and approval.
15. Fraud
15.1 Fraudulent activity is actively monitored.
15.2 Where fraud is detected, SHOWER STORY will immediately cancel the relevant account and pursue appropriate remedies, including recovery of costs, damages, and legal fees.
16. Governing Law
16.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia.
16.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
17. Feedback
17.1 SHOWER STORY values feedback from its stockists.
17.2 Stockists are encouraged to share customer insights, sales trends, and product suggestions by contacting hello@showerstory.com or by leaving reviews on product pages.
17.3 Feedback, both positive and negative, assists SHOWER STORY in product development and service improvement.
